Care & Cleaning

Before First Use:

Clean the Main Base Unit, Claypot, and Claypot Lid with a damp, soapy cloth, then rinse with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. NEVER submerge the Base in water.
We always recommend doing an initial burn off. This means turning the unit on and running the unit for 10 minutes without adding food. Make sure the area is well ventilated. This removes any packaging residue and odor traces that may be present. This is completely safe and not detrimental to the performance of the Claypot Oven.

Care & Cleaning:

The Claypot and Lid are dishwasher safe, but will also clean up very easily by hand. Please DO NOT USE scouring pads or abrasive materials, but a soft cloth or sponge and a mild dish soap. For stubborn food particles, simply soak with some warm water and a mild dish soap.
The Claypot & Lid are oven safe up to 500 °F.
Never thermally shock the claypot as this can in extreme cases cause the claypot to crack.
