Chemical Disclosure

Magnifique International Inc. · Last updated: October 2, 2026

At Magnifique, we believe you should know exactly what touches your food. This page provides the chemical disclosures required for cookware sold in California under Assembly Bill 1200, the California Safer Food Packaging and Cookware Act of 2021 (California Health and Safety Code sections 109010 to 109014).

No Intentionally Added PFAS

None of the Magnifique products listed on this page contain intentionally added PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in any handle or food-contact surface. That includes PTFE (sometimes sold as Teflon®), PFOA, PFOS, and every other member of the PFAS chemical class.

Our cookware does not use nonstick coatings of any kind. Food-contact surfaces are made from kaolin clay, ceramic stoneware, glass, or stainless steel. Our claypot cookware is also independently tested by Light Labs, and those results are available on each claypot product page.

What California AB 1200 Requires

California AB 1200 requires cookware manufacturers to disclose any chemical that is intentionally added to a cookware handle or to any product surface that comes into contact with food, foodstuffs, or beverages, when that chemical appears on the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) Candidate Chemicals list. For each chemical, the disclosure must name the authoritative list or lists on which it appears and link to each list.

An "intentionally added chemical" is one that a manufacturer deliberately adds during manufacture because it has a functional or technical effect in the finished product. Appearing on these lists does not mean a product is unsafe; the lists identify chemicals for further review and transparency.

Chemical Details and Authoritative Lists

Chromium, nickel, and manganese are alloying elements that make up stainless steel itself. They give stainless steel its strength and corrosion resistance. They are part of the metal, not a coating or surface treatment.

You can look up any chemical on the DTSC Candidate Chemicals list, along with the authoritative lists it appears on, in the DTSC CalSAFER database.
