Prep Time: 10 m • Cook Time: 10 m

Serves 4 Patties

Ingredients:
  • 1 ⅓ lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (for aioli)
  • 4 sesame seed buns, sliced in half
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • 1 jar dill pickle slices
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 leaves butter lettuce
Instructions - Claypot Cooker Style
  1. Pre-heat the Claypot Cooker
    1. Set the claypot cooker to “Sauté / High”. Let it heat up while you prep the patties.
  2. Form the Patties
    1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef with 2 tsp Old Bay, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp sea salt. Mix gently and form 4 equal patties (~⅓ lb each).
  3. Cook the Patties
    1. Place the patties into the hot claypot. Cook ~4‑5 minutes on one side until well browned. Flip and cook ~4‑5 minutes on the other side, or until desired doneness. Just before the patties finish, place a slice of cheddar on each patty so it melts.
  4. Make the Aioli
    1. Add the mayonnaise and 1 tsp Old Bay in a bowl, stir to combine
  5. Assemble the Burgers
    1. Spread a portion of the aioli on the bottom half of each bun. On top place: the burger patty with melted cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickle slices, red onion slice, tomato slice, and butter lettuce. Cap with bun top.
  6. Serve Immediately
    1. Serve the burgers hot, ideally directly from the claypot cooker to preserve warmth.
