Prep Time: 30 m. • Cook Time: 50 m.
Serves: 8
NOTE: This is an OVEN BAKE ONLY recipe and does NOT require the use of the Claypot Oven Base.
Filling Ingredients:
- 3-4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 Fuji Apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- ⅓ cup Granulated Sugar
- 3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Nutmeg
- 1 ½ tsp Lemon Juice
- ½ tsp Salt
Crumble Topping:
- ¾ cup Brown Sugar
- ¾ cup All Purpose Flour
- ½ cup Old Fashioned Oats
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- ¾ cup Cold, Unsalted Butter, cut into small cubes (1 ½ sticks)
- ¼ tsp Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Peel and thinly slice your apples, removing the seeds. Combined, you should have about 8 cups of apples total.
- In a large bowl, toss all of the filling ingredients together until the apples are evenly coated. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine Crumble Topping ingredients together, using a pastry cutter or a fork to cut the cold butter into the topping mixture. Continue to do this until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs.
- Pour the apples into your Magnifique Claypot, then sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
- Place your Magnifique Claypot in the oven (not the whole appliance, simply the Claypot), and bake for about 50 minutes, until the top is browned and the filling is bubbly.
- Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
