Prep Time: 30 m. • Cook Time: 50 m.

Serves: 8

NOTE: This is an OVEN BAKE ONLY recipe and does NOT require the use of the Claypot Oven Base.

Filling Ingredients:
  • 3-4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 Fuji Apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • ⅓ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 ½ tsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ tsp Salt

Crumble Topping:
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar
  • ¾ cup All Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • ¾ cup Cold, Unsalted Butter, cut into small cubes (1 ½ sticks)
  • ¼ tsp Salt
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Peel and thinly slice your apples, removing the seeds. Combined, you should have about 8 cups of apples total.
  3. In a large bowl, toss all of the filling ingredients together until the apples are evenly coated. Set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine Crumble Topping ingredients together, using a pastry cutter or a fork to cut the cold butter into the topping mixture. Continue to do this until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs.
  5. Pour the apples into your Magnifique Claypot, then sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
  6. Place your Magnifique Claypot in the oven (not the whole appliance, simply the Claypot), and bake for about 50 minutes, until the top is browned and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
